TWO men from Billingborough have completed a 64-mile tandem cycle ride in five-and-a-half hours to raise money for charity.

Rex Crowden, 65, from and his son-in-law Tom Webster cycled from Mablethorpe to Billingborough to raise £3,200 for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, which saved the life of Rex’s son Ricky six years ago when he was run over by a forklift truck.

Rex, a regular charity fundraiser, said: “We thought we were going to lose him and if they hadn’t got to him as quickly as they did we would have. So we said we would do the next rides to raise money for them.”
