A restaurant has cemented its place as one of the best in the country after winning two coveted AA Rosettes.

Staff at Orbis Stamford were told in February that a mystery AA inspector would be paying a visit to decide whether the venue was worthy of the accolade.

It was only after a diner had worked his way through a meal of soft shelled crab, teriyaki chicken and tenderstem broccoli earlier this month that he asked to see the chef and revealed his identity.
