Police are yet to make any arrests after a teenager was attacked by two suspects armed with a baseball bat earlier this week.

The incident took place at around lunch time on Monday, August 13 at the recreation ground.

It was reported that two people - one a male and the other a female - got out of a black Peugeot and attacked a teenage boy with a baseball bat.

They left and the victim ran off before police arrived.

Neighbours, however, took footage and photos of the incident which they handed over to police, including the car's registration number.

A police spokesperson confirmed the matter had been reported to them.

"Incident 188 of 13 August refers (and was) reported to us at 1.08pm," said the spokesperson.

"We have not yet made any arrests."
