Tennis players helped raise hundreds for a hospice at a charity tournament.

Stamford Tennis Club hosted a day of matches in aid of Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice. Twenty players took part and enjoyed a buffet lunch and raffle. A total of £472 was raised.

Jeannie Dykes, a nurse at Thorpe Hall, who organised the tournament, said: “I would like to say a big thank you to Carole Wilson, tennis coach, who organised the games, and to Maggie Knight who helped recruit players and organised the catering.”
