Fire causes evacuation of Tesco supermarket in Bourne

A small fire broke out at the Tesco supermarket in Bourne this evening (Monday, June 11).

Three crews were called to the supermarket on the corner of Cherry Holt Road and South Road after reports of the fire, which was caused by an electrical fault in a lighting unit.

However, the fire was so small it had burned out by the time the firefighters arrived.

Shoppers were evacuated from the store as a precaution but it is now open as normal.
