An art festival will launch this year’s Rutland Open Studios.

The Art in the Making Festival will take place on June 1 and 2 at the White Horse pub in Morcott.

The festival celebrates the original concept of Open Studios, in which artists from Rutland and surrounding counties hold exhibitions of their work.

This time, artists will still be opening their studios or sharing exhibition space throughout June but the festival will also bring many of them together in one place to demonstrate an array of disciplines from raku firing, pottery, stone carving, pen and watercolour, animal portraiture, felt making and oil painting.
