A table top sale took place on the weekend to raise money for a fund to build an extension.

The sale at the Darby and Joan Hall in Bourne on Saturday raised £121 which will be put towards building an extension on the hall which is expected to cost about £40,000.

Chairman of the Darby and Joan Hall club Mary Holmes said: “The money we raised on the weekend is just a drop in the ocean but we are pleased with it.”

The sale included tables selling the normal bric-a-brac, clothes, books and puzzles amongst other things.

There were also refreshments on sale.

There was also a stall selling knitted Easter chickens.

A Easter fair is being held at the hall on April 28 from 9am to midday.
