LEARN MOREA family-orientated charity for children with additional needs has received a national honour, awarded by the Queen, for its work during the pandemic.
The Rutland Rotaract Family Support Centre was honoured with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in June and officially received it at a special ceremony at Oakham Castle on Wednesday last week.
The Lord-Lieutenant for Rutland, Dr Sarah Furness, presented the charity’s chairman Pippa Owen with a crystal award and certificate, and gave out badges to the volunteers.
