Thieves break into building site

Witnesses are being sought after a building site was broken into and a generator stolen.

Thieves got into the building site in Chesham Drive, Baston, from the A15 layby entrance.

Once into the site the thieves broke into five containers, where they found keys for a JCB and a digger. They have then tried to hotwire a JCB and have cut the rotating orange light off a digger. They have then used the digger and some chains to pick up and take generator and have also stolen a disc cutter.

The theft was discovered at 7.30am on Monday morning and is thought to have happened over the weekend.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 47 of 26/10/15, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
