Thieves target Pointon garden sheds




Two garden sheds in Pointon near Bourne have been broken into and equipment stolen.

Police said the items taken included a chainsaw, strimmer and lawnmower.

In the first incident in High Street, thieves gained entry to a wooden shed by forcing the bolt and padlock.

"Entry was then gained by unknown offender/s who stole a chainsaw," said police in a statement.

"The offender/s entered the rear garden from the village playing fields and social club during the hours of 5pm on Monday January 7 to 9am on Tuesday January 8."

Anyone with information is asked to call police quoting incident 101 08/01/2019.

In the second incident, which took place in West Road between 6pm on Wednesday January 9 and 11am on Thursday January 10, an unknown number of thieves gained access to a rear garden and removed the panels from wooden sheds to gain entry.

They have then stolen a garden strimmer and a lawn mower.
