Magic of Motown draws big crowds to Burghley

More than 5000 people flocked to Burghley House to witness the very best of Motown.

The event, The Magic of Motown, is one of the biggest success stories in British theatre history, and the stately home's grounds were full of people dancing and singing along to the 40 back-to-back classic hits from Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Steve Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, The Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson and more.

Bob Limming, director of Live Promotions, the organisers of the event, said: "It was a fantastic event and I can honestly say I have never seen so many people dancing, singing and just enjoying themselves.

"The stage presentation was simply great, and the period costumes from the 1960s and 1970s just added to the atmosphere.

"The weather was great too, and it was just a superb evening."
