Three cars severely damaged in Ashwell fire

Three cars and 12ft of fencing were severely damaged in a garage forecourt fire in Ashwell last night (Sunday, May 22).

One appliance and a tactical response vehicle from Oakham Station were called to the fire on Oakham Road just before 9.50pm.

Firefighters used two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus to put the fire out. The cause of the fire wasn’t known at the time of going to press.
