A DOG rescue charity has won its battle to claim back £61,000 in VAT payments.
Three Counties Dog Rescue, which is based in Spalding Road, Bourne, found out this week it had been successful in getting the money back.
It follows a one-day tribunal, which was held in December.
HM Revenue and Customs had argued that Three Counties was not eligible for the refund because the charity was not charging for items.
Since the case, Three Counties has rephrased donations to payments.
