Police appeal for witnesses after young girl approached by three men in van

Police are appealing for witnesses after a young girl was approached by three men in a van on her way to school.

The drama unfolded last Wednesday at 8.30am in Radcliffe Road, Stamford, when the men asked the girl if she wanted a lift.

A police spokesman said: "There was no attempt to abduct the child and she was not assaulted or touched in any way. We believe the men may have been delivering in the area, they were in a white van."

Anyone with any information should call 101 quoting incident 72 of June 20 .
