Timings for The Flying Scotsman to stop at Peterborough on Wednesday and Thursday this week

The world famous Flying Scotsman will pass through Peterborough twice this week following a 10-year multi-million pound restoration.

A spring had to be replaced by Ian Riley & Son Engineering after it broke on Monday, February 22, but following a test run to Scarborough today, the Flying Scotsman is ready for its journey south.

The first opportunity to see the locomotive is tomorrow, Wednesday February 24, as it makes its way from the National Railway Museum in York to Wembley, ahead of its official inaugural journey from King’s Cross to York on Thursday.
