Top act for charity event
Well known entertainer Richard Digance will perform at an event in Bourne being held to raise money for the Lincs/Notts Air Ambulance.
Organiser Mike Holden said the live performance was taking place at the Bourne Corn Exchange next Friday.
“Richard is a well-known performer combining his own style of comedy accompanying himself on acoustic guitar,” said Mike.
“He has supported many famous acts including Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey and has been a session musician for other groups from the 70s and 80s including Steeleye Span.
“He has appeared in many famous venues – the Royal Albert Hall, the London Palladium and locally at Aslackby village hall!
“His unique brand of humour appeals to all of a certain age and he has had over 10 million hits on YouTube.”
Mike said that profits from the event would go to the Air Ambulance. “If we sell all 200 tickets we should raise over £1,000,” he said.
Tickets cost £15 and are available from the box office, Café 35 and Smiths or by phoning 01778 905 168.
