Rutland police officers reveal top speeding spots

Police speed checks have revealed the three locations where most offences were detected this summer.

Rutland officers recorded a total of 220 speed-related offences during August, which followed four relatively quiet months on the roads until the coronavirus lockdown eased.

Of these, 43 vehicles were detected breaking the 30mph limit on the main road through Ryhall village, making it the place where most people were caught speeding.
