Tornado steam train breaks down during 90mph run

A steam train expected to thunder through the area ground to a halt during its first fare paying 90mph run.

As it made its way from King’s Cross to York on Saturday, the Tornado was forced to stop at Sandy, Bedfordshire, due to a component failure.

Passengers were given train tickets back to London.
