Uppingham's 2019 entry for East Midlands in Bloom is judged

After months of hard work, Uppingham’s entry to East Midlands in Bloom was finally judged on Wednesday (July 10).

The judges were escorted around the town by Uppingham in Bloom chairman, Coun Miranda Jones.

They were then treated to lunch and were joined by Dr Sarah Furness, the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland, Margaret Miles, High Sheriff of Rutland and Coun Dave Casewell, Mayor of Uppingham.

Last year, Uppingham were winners in the ‘small town’ category and received a gold award.

New for this year, were some installations on the A47 roundabout celebrating Uppingham’s farming links.

Stamford, Oakham, Bourne and Uppingham will all find out how they got on on September 18.
