Stamford in Bloom receives visit from East Midlands in Bloom judges

Stamford was blooming and looking resplendent in the sun this morning (July 2) as the East Midlands in Bloom judges inspected the town's entry.

Judges Richard Stephens and Jenni Oliver were shown around by Ann Ellis, the coordinator of Stamford in Bloom.

She said: "I'm very happy with the town and what we have done.

"The litter pickers went out picking and we were weeding the town until 10pm.

"The judges don't tell you anything - all the results are revealed on September 18."

Bourne is being judged tomorrow (July 3), Oakham on Thursday (July 4) and Uppingham on Wednesday next week (July 10).
