Eight miles of tailbacks on A1 northbound near Stamford after truck fire

Queues are blocking the A1 near Stamford following a truck fire this afternoon (Monday, July 4).

The truck has been destroyed in the blaze and is blocking the carriageway.

Traffic is queuing on the A1 northbound from Tinwell with queues stretching back to Wittering.

Drivers are currently at a standstill, with traffic being diverted off at Tinwell.
