Motorists are being warned to expect delays on the roads in the Bourne area on Sunday with thousands expected to flock to the town to celebrate BRM Day.
Road closures will be in place in Bourne town centre from about 10.30am to 5pm to allow the vintage race cars to parade through the streets and spectators to watch in safety.
The day celebrates 50 years since the Formula 1 World Championship was won by Bourne-based British Racing Motors, known as BRM
The roads closed will be: North Street to junction with St. Gilbert’s Road, South Street to the junction with Coggles Causeway, West Street to junction with Exeter Street and Spalding Road to the junction with Wake Close.
Police have advised spectators to avoid taking cars into the town wherever possible and use the parking areas provided if they have to drive.
There will be a park and ride service offered from car parks in Raymond Mays Way and North Road, Bourne, where there is a charge.
