THE wall of a Grade II listed building was destroyed when a car came off the road and crashed into the house.
A silver Toyota lost control and hit Cavalry House in South Street, Bourne, at about 10.10pm last night (Wednesday).
The car destroyed the wall below the front window of the house. No-one was hurt in the crash and no other vehicles were involved.
Cavalry House is one of Bourne’s oldest properties and was owned by former Deputy Lieutenant of Lincolnshire Thomas Rawnsley, who lived from 1755 to 1826.
