A READER has snapped a picture of one of the mid lent fair lorries manoeuvring out of a tight spot in a Stamford estate.

David Turner photographed this lorry, which would have been bound for the town centre, trying to turn around a tight corner near his home in Alexendra Road, Stamford, on Saturday morning.

The lorry was carrying a stand along with towing a caravan and a generator. The driver is believed to have been sent in the wrong direction by his sat nav but eventually made it to the town centre.

The mid lent fair will be opening in Stamford at 7pm tonight. Fairground rides have been set up on Broad Street, Red Lion Square, Sheep Market, Bath Row and The Meadows
