Rail services back to normal following man’s death on tracks

TRAINS are running as normal between Leicester and Peterborough following the death of a man on the railway line near Stamford this morning (Tuesday).

Services were being diverted following the incident, which happened at about 11.30am.

A freight train driver reported that he had hit someone and a man was found to have died at the scene.

The man has not yet been identified.
