A ROAD at Grimsthorpe has reopened after an articulated lorry crashed into a ditch.
Fire and rescue, police and ambulance, were called to the accident at about 6.30am this morning, which happened on the A151, between Bourne and Corby Glen near Grimsthorpe.
The driver, a 52-year-old man from Peterborough, was initially stuck in the cab of the Renault lorry but managed to get himself out before fire and rescue were needed to assist.
The driver wasn’t injured but has been taken to Peterborough City Hospital to be checked over.
The road was closed while highways workers clear a diesel spillage and recover the lorry. It reopened at 1.40pm.
