Seven-year-old boy airlifted to hospital after A1 crash near Greetham

A seven-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after a crash on the A1 near Greetham.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 3.30pm yesterday (Sunday) after two vehicles collided on the southbound carriageway.

The boy was airlifted to Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, while another child and the driver were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The boy suffered from abdominal injuries and are not believed to be life-threatening.

The other two casualties also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed for about two hours and reopened at 5.15pm.
