Two women who were injured in a crash in Empingham Road, Stamford yesterday (Thursday) have been released from hospital.

The women were in a black Kia which was involved in a collision with a Land Rover at about 8.45am at the junction with Arran Road. They were taken to Peterborough City Hospital and treated for various injuries before being released later that day. No-one in the Land Rover was injured.

The road was closed for two hours because there was fuel on the surface but that was cleared by 10.20am. The road reopened shortly after.
