Two accidents caused delays on the A1 as drivers look to make their way home on Wednesday, August 17.

The road was blocked on the A1 northbound close to the A151 Bourne Road, near Colsterworth, after an accident involving car and a lorry.

The AA is also reported that another accident closed one lane further north at Stoke Rochford.

Police attended the scene to direct traffic on both incidents but there were reports that queues stretch back 10 miles towards Stamford and that it could take several hours to clear.
