Two cars crash in Empingham Lane, near Great Casterton

Traffic was delayed after two cars collided in icy conditions.

The crash happened in Empingham Lane, close to the Bloody Oaks service station near Great Casterton, at about 11.20pm yesterday (Tuesday).

PCSO Steve Houghton, posting on the Rutland Police Twitter account @RutlandPolice, said it was a “nasty collision but thankfully only minor injuries”.

The road was closed for about an hour while the cars were recovered.
