Two taken to Peterborough City Hospital after collision shuts road between A47 and RAF Wittering

Two people were taken to Peterborough City Hospital after a two vehicle collision between the A47 and RAF Wittering.

Old Oundle Road in Thornhaugh remains shut this afternoon (Thursday, December 10) after the incident just before 1pm.

Cambridgeshire police and the East of England Ambulance Service attended with the police still at the scene as of 3pm.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “Two ambulance crews attended to a report of two patients.

“Both were taken to Peterborough City Hospital for further treatment with back and neck pain.

“Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or serious.”
