A classical musician has organised a fundraising concert for a motor neurone disease charity.

Victoria Kerby, 24, from Colsterworth, will perform at Witham Hall School in Witham-on-the-Hill on Friday next week with a number of young musicians.

She organised the concert to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Victoria’s uncle, Laurence Brewer, was diagnosed with the disease four years ago and can now only communicate through eye movement.

Victoria has been playing the clarinet since she was six and was a member of the National Children’s Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain before studying at the Royal Academy of Music.

She has performed at the BBC Proms and is now a freelance musician, playing to audiences all over Europe.

Tickets for the concert can be bought by phoning Neville Kerby on 01476 860329.
