Unusual opportunity to get involved in Mercury Business Awards
As the judges start the hard work of shortlisting entries into our Mercury Business Awards, we’ve got an unusual opportunity for a firm to get involved today.
The winners of the 10 categories will be unveiled at our awards ceremony at Greetham Valley Hotel on Friday, September 21, which will also be attended by our sponsors.
And we’ve got a last minute chance for a firm to get involved as a sponsor. As well as being able to attend the event, which is great for networking, sponsors can also get involved in selecting the night’s winners.
And there’s a great package of benefits available as well so why not get involved as sponsor of our Great Taste category?
Sharron Marriott, events and sponsorship coordinator said: “Our sponsors benefit from promotion, not just in the newspaper but on our social media channels.
“As well as the opportunity to network on the night with a table at the event, as judges our sponsors also develop new business relationships and we get fantastic feedback from all the businesses that are involved as sponsors.
“It’s unusual to have the opportunity available at this late stage in the day, so if you’re interested in finding out more contact me.”
The successful finalists will be announced in the Mercury next week and will be interviewed by judges in the four weeks following.
The 10 categories are: Best new start up (sponsored by Hegarty LLP); Employee/Team of the Year (sponsored by Landmark IFA); Business Innovation (Sponsored by Invest SK); Best Independent Retailer (Sponsored by Oldrids & Downtown); Businessperson of the Year (Sponsored by Duncan and Toplis); Customer Care (Sponsored by Bluebird Care); Best Social Enterprise or Not for Profit Organisation (Sponsored by Alltech); Great Taste Award (available for sponsorship); Business of the Year: Small (Sponsored by Greetham Valley Hotel) and Business of the Year: Large (Sponsored by Chattertons).
The three shortlisted businesses in each category will be invited to the award ceremony at Greetham on September 21, where there will be entertainment and a three-course meal before Rutland Radio’s Rob Persani hosts the awards.
