Up to 30 suspected migrants jumped off lorry at Empingham

Between 20 and 30 suspected migrants jumped off a lorry on the A606 at Empingham last night (Thursday, August 6).

Police were called at around 6.20pm and 10 people were detained by Leicestershire Police on suspicion of immigration offences.

They remain in custody while officers liaise with colleagues at Home Office Immigration.
