Lorry incident on the A1.

The A1 southbound at Great Ponton was closed earlier to allow for the recovery of a lorry which had jack-knifed.

The incident this morning caused long delays in the area, with traffic queuing back past Grantham.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

The A1 is now fully open between the B1174 at Grantham and B6403 at Colsterworth, with traffic congestion beginning to ease.
