UPDATE: Body of missing Lincolnshire pensioner discovered

Police have confirmed missing Linolnshire pensioner Michael Watterson has been found deceased.

Officers put out a message this afternoon (Wednesday) to say the 68-year-old had been found deceased earlier today.

His immediate family are aware.

They said there are no suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.

EARLIER: Michael Watterson (68) has been missing from his home address in Donington since approximately 2.30am yesterday (Tuesday).

He left in a red Ford Fusion vehicle, registration FL53OTM. It is thought that he will be with, or very close to, this vehicle.

Michael is described as white, approximately six foot tall, of large build, clean shaven with short grey hair. He could be wearing glasses and has a tattoo of the name ‘Mary’ on one of his upper arms.

Lincolnshire Police are very concerned for Michael’s safety due to some medical issues that he has and the fact that his disappearance is out of character.

Anyone with information about Michael or who sees him is asked contact Lincolnshire Police on the 101 non-emergency number quoting incident number 57 of February 23.
