UPDATE: Driver airlifted to hospital after serious crash on A15 near Bourne - road remains closed

A serious two car crash has closed the A15 Bourne Road at Aslackby this evening, Wednesday March 9.

The collision happened at about 4.40pm and involved a grey Peugeot 3008 and a blue Ford Ka.

One of the drivers has been taken by Air Ambulance to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, the other driver has been taken to Peterborough City Hospital.

PS Dave Mitchell from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said “we have closed the road while we investigate the cause of the crash. I would ask anyone who witnessed the crash to please give me a call”

We would appeal for anyone who saw the collision or either vehicle driving on the A15 near to Aslackby to contact the Collision Witness Appeal Hotline on 01522 558855 or the non-emergency 101 number quoting incident 296 of 9 march 2016.
