UPDATE MONDAY: Elderly woman with ‘serious injuries’ after Springfields collision

An 84-year-old woman from the Deepings has been seriously injured after a collision with a car outside Springfields Outlet Shopping.

An 84-year-old woman from the Deepings is in hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a car outside a Spalding shopping centre on Friday lunchtime.

The injured woman was hit by Skoda outside Springfields Outlet Shopping at about 1.15pm.

Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before she was taken to Peterborough City Hospital for further treatment.

The road was closed for almost three hours while police carried out enquiries, but the Skoda driver was uninjured.

A woman in her 80s has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a vehicle in Spalding this lunchtime.

It happened outside Springfields Outlet Shopping in Camel Gate where the woman was involved in a collision at about 1.15pm.

She was taken to Peterborough City Hospital but her condition isn’t known at the moment.

People driving to Springfields are being asked to follow any diversions that are in place.
