UPDATE THURSDAY 4.30PM: Teenage driver killed in crash near Bourne named

A man in his late teens who died when a car he was driving left the road and crashed into a tree near Bourne has been named today.

Aaron Trotman, 19, of Kingsnympton Park, Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey, died when the red Seat Ibiza he was driving left the road and collided with a tree on the A6121, Lound Road, Toft, at about 10.30am on Tuesday.

No other vehicle was involved in the crash and an investigation into it continues.

TUESDAY 11.40AM: Driver injured after “serious crash” near Bourne

A driver has been involved in what police describe as a “very serious crash” near Bourne this morning.

It involved one vehicle which crashed in Lound Road, Toft, at about 10.30am.

The B6121 Lound Road has been closed and is likely to be so for the next few hours.

A diversion route is being put in place and road users are asked to avoid the area where possible.
