Members of a cricket club are ready hit the ground running for the new season after giving their ground a big tidy-up as part of a national scheme.
Ground staff, players and supporters of Uppingham Town Cricket Club were working hard to get their ground ready for the year as part of NatWest CricketForce event held at the weekend.
NatWest CricketForce is volunteering initiative aimed at rejuvenating the nation’s cricketing facilities.
Ground staff started work on specialist jobs on Saturday, and on Sunday more than 40 members helped clean and tidy the facilities at the ground.
Chairman Charlie Scott said: “We were very lucky with the weather and we were able to get a lot of vital jobs completed.
“I’d like to thank everyone that has helped with our preparation for the new season, which starts on April 21.”
