The manager of Sloanes of Uppingham Hair and Beauty organised a Big Pink Day on Friday, October 16, in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

Sharron Castledine was determined to turn her terminal breast cancer diagnosis into something positive. During the day, she and her staff gave hand and head massages and served tea and cakes. Raffle prizes were also donated by local businesses and tickets are on sale until tomorrow. So far, £1,000 has been raised for the cause.
