Andrea Bartlett, from Oakham in Rutland, is one of five veterans selected by Help for Heroes to design a new range of products

Oakham resident Andrea Bartlett is one of the five veterans selected by Help for Heroes to design a new range of products.

Andrea, who served in the Royal Army Medical Corps from the age of 19, rediscovered her love of painting after being medically discharged from the army due to an eye condition. After struggling to find her confidence, she started to paint.

Andrea said: “Creativity has helped me find myself again; it’s calmed my nerves and eased my frustrations, especially on days that I’m struggling.”

Her designs - paintings of lions, sheep and donkeys on t-shirts and tea towels - are being sold from £12 on the website https://shop.helpforheroes.org.uk

They can be found by searching ‘Andrea Bartlett’ on the product search.

All profits will go to Help for Heroes, a charity which supports wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.
