A WOMAN with a rare neurological disorder has raised £500 for the charity that supports her with a head shave.
Jane Woodcok, 48, of The Gables, Bourne suffers from idiopathic intracranial hypertension, otherwise known as IIH.
The condition causes acute migraines and affects Jane’s speech, memory and movement.
Yesterday (Tuesday) Jane’s family gathered at Palmers Hair Salon in Abbey Road, Bourne, to watch salon owner Stephen Palmer shave her head to raise money for IIH UK. The charity helps sufferers of the condition and has given Jane a lot of support.
Through sponsorship Jane raised more than £500.
She said: “I’m a bit cold around the ears now but I’m quite liking it which is very strange.
“Staff from the charity were waiting for the photos and I have had their full support, so to raise more than £500 is really good.”
Jane is still taking sponsorship. If you would like to donate to the cause, visit www.justgiving.com/Jane-Woodcock4
