Stamford market stall will give the chance to comment on proposed closure of South Kesteven District Council offices in Stamford and Market Deeping

People have a chance to give their views on how a council's customer services are provided, through a drop in stall at Stamford Market on Friday (February 14).

South Kesteven District Council is considering closing its customer services centres in Maiden Lane, Stamford, and at Market Deeping in order to make cost savings.

The proposal would see the manned offices replaced with self-service payment kiosks.

It is part of a move to modernise customer services but would also save £113,000 each year.

Those who use the facilities, along with various other stakeholders have been asked to comment.

They can visit the market stall in Broad Street where members of the customer service and communications team will be available to listen to what they have to say and answer any questions they may have about the proposed closures.

Alternatively, people can fill in a survey at the council’s customer service centres in Bourne, Stamford, Grantham or Market Deeping, or visit this link.

The consultation closes on February 20.
