ORGANISERS of a successful village fete have thanked its supporters.

Dyke Village Hall organised the popular fete on Saturday when more than £700 profit was made.

Crowds of people went along to the hall to look around the stalls and village queen Jessica Perry arrived in a classic car owned by Steve Shaw.

Committee member Christine Woods was delighted.

She said: “The rain stayed away and everyone who attended had a good time.

“A very big thank you to all our helpers, including the ladies of Dyke Women’s Institute who make and sell cakes and serve teas.

“Thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes, especially All Seasons, who donated the first three prizes and also sponsored the raffle, also thanks to Sainsbury’s.”
