Villagers in Greetham plan to have own website

VILLAGERS are pooling their resources to build a community website.

People in Greetham have long relied on the Rutland County Council website Rutnet to keep villagers and the wider community up to date with what is going on.

Project co-ordinator David Hodson, of Kirks Close, Greetham, said: “Rutnet is somewhat basic.”

So far the committee has been given a £250 grant from the parish council and is now working to raise the rest of the money needed to create the web page.

It is estimated that they will need between £800 and £1,000 to set up the page and to train a web master to keep the website updated.

The website committee is holding an event in the The Plough in Main Street on March 8 from 6pm so that people and businesses can learn more about it.
