LEARN MOREA village pub threatened with closure will reopen on Wednesday after a revamp.
The Millstone Inn, the last remaining pub in Barnack, was put up for sale last August, but has been brought back to life by Stamford businessman Paul McSorley.
After buying the Grade II-listed inn for £370,000, Paul earmarked £250,000 for its restoration.
“It has been harder work than I thought it would be, but we’ve been really lucky in terms of the reaction of the village and the people I have met," he said.
"They have been incredibly supportive."
Paul also has big plans for phase two of the development.
They include restoring the courtyard barn into a country store and function room.
