Stamford Twinning Association hosted a group of Czech nationals to mark their continued partnership with the city of Kutna Hora.

The association welcomed the party from the Czech Republic at the end of August. Mayor of Stamford Sue Sandall held a civic reception in the town hall when they arrived, and they were then taken on trips to the Fudge Factory and Garden Centre just outside Market Deeping, where they had lunch, before visiting Baldock’s Mill in Bourne to see the Raymond Mays and BRM exhibition.

There was a farewell dinner party at Normanton Park Hotel with glorious views over Rutland Water.

Next year the association will pay a return visit to Kutna Hora and hosting a group from Stamford’s other twin, Vence, in France. To find out more contact Graham Watson on 01780 752609.
