A village is gearing up to welcome visitors from across the county to an open weekend.
South Luffenham residents will open their gardens for the ninth year running from Friday to Sunday next week.
Many villagers will welcome visitors to their gardens, which range from contemporary outdoor spaces that combine the old with the new, to the smaller cottage gardens, where local homeowners show how creative they can be with pots, troughs and patios.
On the Sunday afternoon, South Luffenham Hall will be open for the public to enjoy its two acres of walled garden and magnificent herbaceous borders.
One of the weekend’s organisers, Helen Saunders, said: “Our open gardens event gets more visitors every year and everybody who comes has a thoroughly good time.
“It’s very much a family-friendly village, so children are most welcome.”
