Ten volunteers from logistics company CS Ellis have helped transform the scout hall at Oakham All Saints Church.

The team challenge was organised by Leicestershire Cares, a group which provides volunteering opportunities. Armed with paint and brushes, the volunteers from the South Luffenham firm spent a day brightening up the hall in Grampian Way.

The venue was painted in the Scouts Association’s corporate colours to give it a fresh new look for those who use it.

Team leader Viki Linnitt said: “The team had an excellent time working hard on the scout hall. Giving back to the community is what it is all about.

“It is a fulfilling feeling when you finish a project for people who really deserve it. The scout hall really needed some tender loving care and we are proud we had the opportunity to be the ones to do that.”
